more POSERS

WELL they say if you can't laugh at yourself, you may as well laugh at Dave :)

so here you go, here's your chance hahaha

ok NOW THAT YOU'VE GOT THAT OFF YOUR CHEST.... let's move on...

oh you don't? scroll back up there and keep laughing!

you done now?

really? seriously?

finished!?

ok.. hey quit sniggering... anyways...

as i was saying, the best part about the next part is... the flying rats were put in digitally after the event!

her dad was having a good old chortle after seeing this one haha:

yeah.. i told her not to get too used to THIS kinda activity - we have VEHICLES in the western world dagnamit!

Manager Wang & his birthday pipe!

all in all, the Dunhill Classic Apple was a hit ;)

POSERS!!

bah, posing posers with all their.. poses.....

she sure looks beautiful though, eh :)

trip to the painting teacher's new digs

pretty cool, an abandoned school!
his wife is a teacher at a nearby school so he had the immediate "in" with the right government officials to use this space while they fall over eachother working out what to do with it...

(i could swear i saw the image of some hot chinese chick through the glass but siyu insisted there was nothing there... i dunno, you be the judge!)
siyu's into this work in progress ;)

more pics of the house under construction..

so here's a little bit of a look - again, sorry to say i messed up the pics.. we'll be out there again in a few days, i'll get some good digitals then!

i think the above is the room siyu and i will occupy whenever we visit - i'm looking forward to finding out what sleeping on straight concrete is like.. hear it's good for yer back eh?

ah yes this pic i took while up in the family helicopter as we flew over the land. the house is the one in the center of the pic at the T-intersection, on the corner closest to the camera.

by 2007....

every room will have it's own toilet.

awesome plan, Mr Mao. Awesome plan.

BUT .. (or is that butt?) seriously, the in-law's new house is under construction. i'm yet to be convinced by the design philosophy of putting the dunny in the center of the room seemingly away from any plumbing or, indeed, toilet paper, but i'm confident in the ability of the builders to execute a cunning plan.

they should call it Shock and Awe.. which is pretty much what i felt after discovering one of the workers had left a turd upstairs drying in the sun on the top balcony (sorry to say that pic didn't turn out, i had the camera on manual exposure and it was blown out.. same as his bum, apparently).

perhaps he did this because he mistook the western toilet for a statue of an ancient god and felt the need to pay homage?

speaking of which, i feel the need to pay homage right now...

WE'RE BACK! and.. WE'RE BACK!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! that's right folks, this entire time i've been UNABLE to log into this bloody blogger beta and blast you with blissful blitherings and baloney.

it has kinda been driving me NUTS.

today however i installed a .net update (after a recent update to firefox 2..) and a Java update.. and lo here we be, suddenly now i can see all kinds of new things!

anyways, let the streamoblog commence, many things to update!

most importantly ... mrs campbell's Visa for Australia has been approved and we're getting tickets tomorrow for the 24th of december! we'll be on the beach for christmas (or something like that) and hoping to catch up with people shortly thereafter!

YAHOO! :)

hey, not that i'm so keen to get away from china - in fact, i wouldn't mind staying for a while longer. but in all honesty it's time for us to knuckle down and get on with it.

City Mysteries has had a bit of a delay due to the printer providing us with a pretty crappy sample - however this week we're expecting a new proof and that will determine our next move. We've sorted out the LA list and this week we've started contacting the customers... we'd like to get LA done by end of January!

I'm also going to start on Brisbane beginning of January... and we'll just have to see how the fates treat us from there.

Siyu is keen to get her import business going, so all you fashion jewelery types watch out, there's a new brand in town.. Funky Buddha!

My mum, sister, and niece are turning up this friday for a taste of China! 3 weeks of sloppy bowel movements and terrifying busrides await them as they venture forth to experience a little of the life that produced the woman who had enough fortitude to keep laughing at my jokes after the initial wave wore off.

We'll go to Beijing next week (wouldn't want to be a brass monkey up there at this time of year, i tells ya!) and see the wall and other sundries.. then my good buddy Eric will show up and after a little more sightseeing we'll be back for some tawdry drunken parties in Guangzhou. Then we'll be off to Hong Kong for a little shopping (i gots my eye on a PS3, Wii, and Xbox360 but damnit the stock market is going to have to be good to me between now and then for THAT winfall) and to take Maddie (the niece) to Disneyland... and soon after we pack the family back to Australia we'll be following to start the new adventure!

Anyways, all of this will be documented now that we can see the site again. There have been several sites i've not been able to see for the last month, including the site for the new guild i'm in for World of Warcraft.. which is turning out to be problematic, we'll have to see how that ends up.

Oh, speaking of Warcraft, meet my Druid.. Hoogenburger!

Hoogs is currently lvl 56 with 16 days of gameplay, exalted with AV, honored with WSG, and friendly with the Arathi clan. He's turning into quite the LEET healer, so if you're ever in a jam you know the man with the plan! I had hoped to get him to level 60 by the end of this week, but he'll be taking an extended vacation it seems until I get to australia.. just in time for the burning crusades expansion pack and all that new adventuring that will have to be had!

Oh, he's a Tauren, so no cow jokes or he'll hoof ya in the candies.

/moo!
